The Maroochy Opti Development Camp

To all the PARENTS we would like you to stay around for a briefing before you leave your children on Friday night.

We are so fortunate to have Adrian Finglas (Olympic Coach, & QLD High Performance Coach) join us for the weekend as one of the coaches. Adrian will present to you the pathway for sailing success, for our up and coming yachtsmen and women.

The briefing will start at 6:30 and finnish at 7:00pm, dinner will be served after with a sailing DVD to set the scene for the week end.

Provided in partnership by Yachting Queensland, the Maroochy Sailing Club and the Queensland International Optimist Dinghy Association as part of the Queensland Identification & Development Program.

Overview:

The Maroochy Opti Development Camp is the second Opti Camp organised by Yachting Queensland as part of the newly developed “Queensland Identification & Development Program”.

The QIDP is designed to enable all junior and youth sailors across QLD to attend training and development camps with top level coaching. It is also an opportunity for young sailors to be identified as potential competitive sailors for the Queensland Academy of Sport Sailing Program.
