About QIODA

Queensland International Optimist Dinghy Association (QIODA) is the Queensland branch of the Australian International Optimist Association (AIODA). As a member of QIODA you will automatically belong to AIODA and the World-wide organisation, which confers rights to compete anywhere in the world.

The aims of QIODA :

• To provide National and International opportunities to help Queensland Optimist sailors to develop the essential sailing skills, techniques and poise to compete at the highest level, and also;

• To provide an avenue for sailors to source the latest and best information on the various aspects of sailing an International Optimist;

• To provide access to state, National and International regattas so that Optimist sailors may enjoy the experience of racing in larger fleets with the sport's best sailors;

QIODA has adopted the Australian Sports Commission Junior Sport - Code of Conduct  for our members and parents of QIODA, please read the attached Code of Conduct to understand what we require from you as a member.
